Beyond just mowing, the Enviromower can be fitted with the optional Trimmer/edger attachment converting the Enviromower into a line trimmer and edger. This is a fantastic option for those who find traditional hand-held trimmers too heavy or awkward to manage.

The optional Trimmer/edger attachment simply slots into the front of the mower, so you control it from the mower handle and the whole system is supported by the mower for ease of manoeuvrability. The Trimmer/edger attachment rotates vertically for edging paths and driveways or horizontally for weed trimming or mowing in hard to reach corners.

NOTE:
Some web sites claim up to 80 minutes on a charge with the Enviromower. This is not possible eg:

500watt/24 = 20.8amps
Battery capacity is 10 amp-hour
Cutting time under load = 10/20.8 = .48hr = 28.8 minutes.

For larger lawns do it in two shifts with a charge in between.
Or have a spare battery pack.

I have an Enviromower and find that it cuts & catches well. It is three years old and I have not had a moment's trouble.
The Enviromower (except the very early ones) has no solid state mechanism, just good old fashioned relays making them very easy to repair if the need arises
The Blade brake is brilliant in its simplicity. The relay has double contacts, so when its switched off the motor is short circuited through a wire ballast coil. The motor becomes a generator & the wire coil absorbs the load, stopping the motor in an instant without any mechanical brake mechanism.
Unlike a lot of electric mowers, the motor is repairable. The bearings are standard sealed ball bearings & the brushes are easy to replace.
The motor has no field coils, permanent magnets are used instead. This reduces heat levels and reduces the chances of insulation breakdown. It also delivers a very high torque. This design is often used on modern starter motors.
